Large Dual Zone™ Deflector Kit

Regular price $119.99
SKU: 136251

Description

Use both deflectors for full indirect cooking. Cook with direct and indirect heat, side by side. Use a single Split Heat Deflector to set up direct and indirect zones. Sear over direct heat on one side while roasting with indirect heat on the other.

Steady Heat

Ceramic Split Heat Deflectors shield food from direct flame and help maintain steady temperatures throughout long cooks. The basket allows airflow around the deflectors, helping distribute heat evenly around the food and across the cooking surface.

Integrated Handles

The stainless steel Deflector Basket features built-in handles for easy placement and removal, even during a cook.

Materials & Care

Ceramic Split Heat Deflectors

Material: Big Green Egg ceramic

  • Allow the Split Heat Deflectors to remain in the Egg for about 15 minutes after cooking to burn away food residue.
  • While still warm, gently remove any remaining residue with a long-handled grill brush.
  • Flip the Split Deflectors between cooks to help residue burn away over time.
  • Store in a dry location to minimize moisture absorption.

Stainless Steel Deflector Basket

Material: 304 stainless steel

  • Heat the Egg to 600°F (315°C) for 2–3 hours to remove stubborn buildup.
  • Remove any remaining residue with a grill brush after the basket has cooled enough to handle.

What's Included

  • Ceramic Split Heat Deflectors (2): Create direct, indirect, or dual-zone cooking setups.
  • Stainless Steel Deflector Basket: Provides a stable foundation for every setup with consistent airflow and integrated handles for easy adjustments.
