Shannon’s Big Green Egg cooking started, literally, as a trial by fire. As an avid home cook, she half-jokingly volunteered to cook at a local Egg Fest in Southwest Florida in March 2019, but only if she could grill vegetarian dishes. Much to her surprise, they took her up on that offer. After winning over hungry attendees during a long, hot day of grilling carrot hotdogs (yep, carrots) covered in a vegan chili-cheese sauce, she was hooked on Big Green Egg cooking. A week later, she brought home her first EGG and her passion for grilling on the Big Green Egg has only continued to grow over the years.
She loves sharing both her vegetarian–and non-vegetarian–Big Green Egg recipes and hopes to inspire people to find ways to cook more than just steaks, ribs, and pork butts on their Eggs.
“Cooking done on the Big Green Egg just makes everything taste better,” she says.
Shannon loves living in sunny Naples, Florida, which enables her to enjoy outdoor cooking (without the snow) all year round. She has become most notable for her Big Green Egg wok cooking. Many of those recipes are demonstrated live on Instagram with another guest chef. Shannon is always coming up with inventive ways to show that the Big Green Egg is the most versatile grill!
