"just so everyone knows you have to download the flame boss app for it to connect to your WiFi and the genus than the genius app will work. After all that I had to tweet the vents a little and it kept my ribs @ 250-255 for 5 hours. Excellent purchase"

"This device is awesome. It very accurately predicts the temperature several minutes ahead of time and adjusts its fan speed accordingly. The online custom URL is by far a better interface than their phone app. I use IOS, and I have to say the app is super lame and presents as an early 2000's app. Changes do not stick. There is no graphing, etc. If you were hoping for anything close to Meater's online food probe app, you will be severely disappointed. BUT, if you take advantage of their custom URL for your cook, that experience is awesome! It allows you to track your cook far more effectively than the somewhat lame phone app. Summary: Buy this! Especially if you are a new greenegg user. The control of the egg is amazing! (Hint: start early so all the ceramics heat. up). BAD: the IOS app is super lame and glitchy. A pain to use. GOOD: The Web based graphing function is AWESOME. So, just plan to use your laptop, and not your phone, and you will be good to go!"
