Takeo Spikes' Ribs

Smoking Egg

Ingredients

  • 2 racks baby back ribs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce

Instructions

Method: Low and slow smoking

  1. Set the EGG for indirect cooking at 250°F/121°C.
  2. Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Rub ribs with seasoning mix and let rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Place ribs on the EGG and smoke for 3 hours.
  5. Wrap ribs in foil with apple cider vinegar and return to the EGG for 2 hours.
  6. Unwrap, brush with BBQ sauce, and cook for another hour until tender.
  7. Rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
