Steak with Caramelized Onions

Ingredients

  • 2 steaks (your choice)
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme for garnish

Instructions

Method: Grilling and sautéing

  1. Preheat the EGG to 500°F/260°C for direct grilling.
  2. Grill steaks for 4-5 minutes per side until your desired doneness is reached.
  3. Meanwhile, sauté onions in butter and olive oil with sugar and balsamic vinegar until caramelized.
  4. Top the steaks with caramelized onions and garnish with fresh thyme.
