Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme for garnish

Instructions

Method: Pan searing and caramelizing

  1. Preheat the EGG to 500°F/260°C for direct cooking.
  2. Cook steaks for 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness.
  3. For onions, sauté in butter and olive oil over medium heat, adding sugar and balsamic vinegar until caramelized.
  4. Top the steaks with caramelized onions and garnish with thyme.
