Morro Bay BBQ Cowboy Oysters

Smoking Egg

Ingredients

  • 12 fresh oysters, shucked
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Method: Direct grilling

  1. Set the EGG for direct cooking at 400°F/204°C.
  2. In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, butter, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, paprika, and cayenne.
  3. Place oysters on the grill and spoon a small amount of sauce into each shell.
  4. Grill for 4-5 minutes until the edges curl and the sauce bubbles.
  5. Remove from the grill, garnish with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
