Hot Buttered Soft Pretzels

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • Coarse salt for topping

Instructions

Method: Indirect baking

  1. Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar; let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, salt, and melted butter; knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Let rise for 1 hour.
  4. Set the EGG for indirect cooking at 375°F/190°C.
  5. Divide dough into strips, shape into pretzels, and dip in baking soda water.
  6. Sprinkle with coarse salt and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
