BBQ Chicken Cheddar Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sandwich rolls
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup pickles (optional)

Instructions

Method: Grilling

  1. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  3. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  4. Brush the BBQ sauce onto the chicken in the last 2 minutes of grilling to allow it to caramelize.
  5. Toast the sandwich rolls on the grill until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the sandwich by placing the grilled chicken on the roll, topping with shredded cheddar cheese and pickles if desired.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
