Ingredients

  • 4 venison cube steaks
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Method: Pan-Frying

  1. Soak venison steaks in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix together flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the steaks from the buttermilk, dredge them in the flour mixture, and fry them in the skillet for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve with mashed potatoes or your favorite side dish.
