Steak with Mushrooms and Whiskey-Cream Sauce

Smoking Egg

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup whiskey
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Method: Direct grilling

  1. Set the EGG for direct grilling at 500°F/260°C.
  2. Rub steaks with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Grill for 4-5 minutes per side.
  4. In a pan, melt butter and sauté mushrooms until tender.
  5. Deglaze with whiskey, then stir in heavy cream.
  6. Simmer for 2 minutes and pour over steaks before serving.
