Ingredients
- 4 catfish fillets
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 2 tbsp hot sauce
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
Method: Frying
- Set the EGG for indirect cooking at 375°F/191°C.
- Mix cornmeal, flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne.
- In another bowl, mix buttermilk and hot sauce.
- Dip catfish fillets in buttermilk, then dredge in cornmeal mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet and fry catfish for 3-4 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
