Shepherd's Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb or beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Method: Baking

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F/190°C.
  2. Cook ground lamb (or beef) with onion and garlic in a skillet until browned.
  3. Add broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Spread meat mixture in a baking dish, top with mashed potatoes, and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
