Plank-Roasted Pears with Blue Cheese

Smoking Egg

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe pears, halved and cored
  • 1 cedar plank, soaked in water for 1 hour
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze

Instructions

Method: Plank roasting

  1. Set the EGG for indirect cooking at 375°F/191°C.
  2. Place pears cut side up on the soaked cedar plank.
  3. Top each pear with blue cheese, honey, walnuts, and cinnamon.
  4. Roast on the EGG for 15-20 minutes until pears are tender.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and serve warm.
