Melissa's Classic Hatch Chile Grilled Cheese Sandwich


Ingredients

  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 roasted Hatch chile, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Method: Direct grilling

  1. Set the EGG for direct cooking at 350°F/177°C.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place shredded cheeses and Hatch chile slices between two slices of bread.
  4. Grill for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  5. Slice and serve immediately.
