Grown Up Grilled Cheese

Smoking Egg

Ingredients

  • 2 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 slice Gruyère cheese
  • 1/4 cup caramelized onions
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

Method: Grilling

  1. Butter one side of each slice of bread and spread mustard on the unbuttered side.
  2. Layer the cheddar and Gruyère cheeses, followed by caramelized onions.
  3. Place the sandwich on a heated pan over medium heat. Grill for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
