Grilled Tuna Sandwiches with Chipotle Mayo

Ingredients

  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup arugula or spinach
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Method: Grilling

  1. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Brush the tuna steaks with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill the tuna steaks for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare or longer for your preferred doneness.
  4. While the tuna is grilling, mix mayonnaise, chipotle peppers, and lemon juice in a small bowl to make the chipotle mayo.
  5. Toast the sourdough bread slices on the grill until golden brown.
  6. Assemble the sandwich by spreading the chipotle mayo on the bread, adding arugula, and placing the grilled tuna steak in between.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
