Grilled Shrimp Cocktail with Fire-Roasted Cocktail Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • For the cocktail sauce:
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp horseradish
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

Method: Grilling

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Thread the shrimp onto skewers and grill for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque.
  4. For the cocktail sauce, mix together ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, smoked paprika, and hot sauce in a bowl.
  5. Serve the grilled shrimp with the cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
