Smoking Egg

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Method: Dutch oven simmering

  1. Set the EGG for indirect cooking at 350°F/177°C.
  2. Brown ground beef in a Dutch oven.
  3. Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in beans, crushed tomatoes, and seasonings.
  5. Simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  6. Serve hot with toppings like cheese, sour cream, and green onions.
