- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- Sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
Method: Baking
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
- In a separate bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs, vanilla, and almond extract, and beat until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheets. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass or your hand.
- Sprinkle with colored sugar or sprinkles.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool before serving.
