Smoking Egg

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • Sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

Method: Baking

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, vanilla, and almond extract, and beat until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheets. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass or your hand.
  7. Sprinkle with colored sugar or sprinkles.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool before serving.
