Easy Jambalaya with Beef

Smoking Egg

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, cubed
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 1/2 cup diced bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Method: Cast iron cooking

  1. Set the EGG for indirect cooking at 350°F/177°C.
  2. Heat olive oil in a cast-iron skillet and brown beef cubes.
  3. Add vegetables, garlic, and Cajun seasoning, sauté for 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in rice and broth, cover, and cook for 25-30 minutes.
