Deep Dish Pizza

Smoking Egg

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pizza dough
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 lb sausage
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Method: Baking

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F/220°C.
  2. Cook sausage with onion and bell pepper in olive oil until browned.
  3. Roll dough into a greased deep dish pan and layer with cheese, sausage mixture, marinara sauce, and more cheese.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden and bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
