Chipotle Barbecued Turkey Burgers

Smoking Egg

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup chipotle barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns

Instructions

Method: Grilling

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix together ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 burger patties.
  4. Grill the turkey burgers for 5-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. During the last minute of grilling, brush the turkey burgers with chipotle barbecue sauce.
  6. Toast the burger buns on the grill until golden brown.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing the turkey patties on the buns and serving immediately.
