How to Cook Beer Can Chicken on the Big Green Egg

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 1 can of beer (half emptied)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Method: Indirect roasting

  1. Set the EGG for indirect cooking at 375°F/190°C.
  2. Rub chicken with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the chicken over the beer can, balancing it upright.
  4. Roast for 75-90 minutes until internal temp reaches 165°F.
  5. Let rest for 10 minutes before carving.
