Turkish Pizza with Red Hot Spiced Lamb and Tomatoes

Smoking Egg

Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pizza dough
  • 1/2 lb ground lamb
  • 1/2 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Method: Indirect baking

  1. Set the EGG for indirect cooking at 450°F/232°C.
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil and cook onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Add lamb, cumin, paprika, and red pepper flakes, cooking until browned.
  4. Stir in crushed tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Roll out pizza dough and spread lamb mixture on top.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is crispy.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve.
