Sarah's Stuffed Pretzels

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced jalapeños
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp coarse salt for topping

Instructions

Method: Indirect baking

  1. Set the EGG for indirect cooking at 375°F/191°C.
  2. Mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a bowl.
  3. Add warm water and olive oil, knead into a dough.
  4. Let dough rise for 1 hour.
  5. Roll out, fill with cheese and jalapeños, then seal into pretzel shapes.
  6. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
