"I have been a Chef for 42 years. I have had the xtra large green egg for 8 years. I also have a high end pellet grill/smoker. There will be a lot of people wondering...Should I get a green egg or pellet grill? Here's why you should get the green egg. They both cook excellent product. The cleaning process can make or break ones desire to buy a pellet grill. Too many moving parts, cracks, crevices, etc in a pellet grill to trap grease. They are all the same. More headaches than you can imagine with a pellet grill.. The Green Egg will burn away most of the grease each time you use it. There will be those who disagree for various reasons, but in the real world of grilling and smoking every day, this is my experience. The choice is yours....."

"I am a huge fan of the XL BGE. We use the BGE multiple times a week and is a great supplement to my traditional gas grill. I tell my wife all the time that I wish we had purchased a BGE year ago. The ease of use, the quality, the sheer size of the XL is perfect for any gathering or party on hand. I smoke ribs, chicken and salmon all the time on it but our favorite thing to do is to cook pizzas on it! BGE will always get a 5 star rating from me."

"NOTHING beats the Big Green EGG!!! I have had the XL for 2 years now and find an excuse to use it as often as i can. I love the versatility of the BGE. You can smoke ribs, pork butt, brisket, etc low and slow and then really fire it up to have your own pizza oven!"
