Distribution Center Order Fulfillment Coordinator
Location: Tucker, GA
Job Summary:
The Distribution Order Fulfillment Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the order fulfillment process from the time an order is received until it is delivered to the customer. This role involves coordinating with various departments, including inventory, shipping, and customer service, to ensure that orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Processing:
- Receive and review customer orders.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to ensure product availability.
- Enter and manage orders in the ERP system.
- Monitor order status and update customers on delivery times.
- Coordination & Communication:
- Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange deliveries.
- Communicate with customers regarding order status, delays, or issues.
- Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve any order-related inquiries or complaints.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse team and procurement to reorder products as needed.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory audits to ensure accurate stock records.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all orders, shipments, and related documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on order fulfillment activities and performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline the order fulfillment process and reduce delivery times.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and projects.
- Provide feedback to management on potential improvements to order fulfillment and distribution processes.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in order fulfillment, distribution, logistics, or a related role.
- Experience with ERP systems and order management software.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Working Conditions:
- This role may require occasional lifting and standing for extended periods.
- The role is primarily based in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- May require overtime during peak seasons or to meet urgent customer demands.
