Event Activation Manager

Job Overview:
Big Green Egg is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Activation Manager to craft memorable brand experiences by improving brand tasting demos, facilitating engaging consumer events, managing a group of agencies and an internal team to execute our annual EGGtoberfest brand event, support regional market-level activations through our distributor network, and managing the event component of strategic partnership activations.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Strategy & Execution: Consumer & Trade Events
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Big Green Egg’s presence at consumer & trade events, ensuring seamless operations and a standout experience for attendees. Bringing to life evolved brand identity in event space.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate brand messaging and product highlights into all consumer events.
EGGtoberfest Management
- Oversee all aspects of EGGtoberfest, from concept development to post-event analysis, ensuring it meets Big Green Egg’s standards of excellence.
- Lead a cross-functional internal team and agency partner to bring the event to life.
- Coordinate logistics, vendor management, and on-site operations for EGGtoberfest, delivering a world-class event that celebrates our brand and engages the EGGhead community.
- Drive promotional efforts to maximize event attendance and media coverage.
National & Local Event Process
- Create & manage an event feedback loop process with distributors and dealers so all consumer events, demos, tasting events, hyperlocal brand activations, etc. are represented on the brand website.
- Partner with the omnichannel team to bring to life for consumers on brand site.
Distributor Market-Level Activation Support
- Support regional market-level activations alongside distributor marketing lead for Big Green Egg to boost brand presence and support dealer sales efforts.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand distributor needs and brainstorm effective event solutions.
- Serve as an internal advocate for market-level activations, coordinating with marketing team for support.
- Support event logistics, including planning, co-op budgeting, and coordination, to ensure successful outcomes and alignment with brand standards.
Class Experiences & Playbooks
- Build strategy for class experiences (physical, virtual) & partner with chef, retail team, and volunteers to execute.
- Development of class playbooks & toolkits for empowering distributors and dealers to facilitate physical and virtual class experiences.
Project Management
- Oversee the end-to-end management of brand activations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and agencies to execute events and activations effectively.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of events and activations, providing insights and recommendations for future improvements.
Brand Representation
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring all events and activations reflect Big Green Egg’s commitment to quality, innovation, and community.
- Serve as the primary contact for all brand activation inquiries, representing Big Green Egg in both internal and external communications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in brand activation, event management, partnership management, or experiential marketing, preferably within the outdoor lifestyle or premium consumer goods sectors.
- Proven experience managing large-scale events, including notable events like EGGtoberfest.
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, consumer behavior, and event execution principles.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours as needed for events and activations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with outdoor cooking or lifestyle brands.
- Knowledge of digital marketing and social media integration in event planning.
- Proficiency in event management software and CRM tools.
Working Conditions:
- The role may require frequent travel and flexibility in working hours, including weekends and evenings, depending on event schedules.
